Ariana Grande has been accused of speaking down to people around her on a new television project.

Grande is gaining a reputation for being difficult and high maintenance - a reputation that shows no sign dying down after her alleged recent behaviour.

A source was less than complementary about the star when they spoke to the New York Post's Page Six: "It's like the president is in town.

"Everyone is kind of stressed and at the same time, they're making fun of her because it's much ado about nothing, really."

"She kind of speaks down to everyone around her."

This story comes a day after she was accused of being more than a little disrespectful to her fans.

After meeting some fans at an autograph session, the singer was reportedly overheard saying to her entourage that she hoped her fans would f***ing die'.

However, Grand has taken to Twitter to clear the air and set the record straight about the incident.

She wrote: Man some of these rumors that have been coming out about me lately actually have me laughing out loud....really can't take em seriously

"Sooner or later ppl will realize that what u put out is what u get back. the lies/hate etc. give love & I promise life will treat u better.

"Love love love love love love love. k? n here's some more love for u. even those who are unkind. here's some love for u too. u need it most."
