The 'If I Die Young' singer was rushed to UCLA Emergency Department in Los Angeles, California, where he underwent an operation to remove his appendix.

The 28-year-old musician documented his treatment on social media, sharing pictures and video of himself in his hospital bed, writing: "Appendectomy ... Under the knife."

Reid posted a picture of himself in a hospital gown, saying: "Getting bored while going crazy ... I keep thinking about that opening scene from TWD ['The Walking Dead'.]

The 'Comeback Kid' star also joked: "I never get sick, but when I do they take away body parts."

He later shared two short videos of his medical ID tag being cut of and confirmed he had been, "Discharged."

His brother and bandmate Neil Perry wrote on Instagram: "So thankful that my brother is feeling better after a mild health scare.

"Family is the most important thing in this world. and I can't say enough about how much I respect and look up to my big brother. He's the strongest person I kno [sic] ... He rides out every situation life throws at him with strength and calm."

The band - which also features 34-year-old sister Kimberly - are set to release their third album My Bad Imagination later this year.
