The 'Starboy' rapper - whose real name is Abel Tesfaye - is believed to have recently got back in touch with his former flame after splitting with fellow singer Selena Gomez at the end of October.

And Abel, 27, isn't laying low when it comes to romantic gestures, as he is thought to have showered Bella, 21, with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a sweet note whilst she was in Shanghai, China, this week for the lingerie giant's annual fashion show.

A source claimed: "Bella loved every minute of the show, and she looked absolutely stunning. The event went off without a hitch, and it was a raging success.

"Bella was on a high the whole night. Abel sent her a gorgeous, huge bouquet of flowers along with a super sweet note telling her how amazing she is and how proud of her he is."

The brunette beauty was forced to travel to China alone, though, as her older sister Gigi Hadid, who was originally supposed to be a part of the show, pulled out at the last minute for unspecified reasons.

The insider added to HollywoodLife.com: "The only thing that would have made it better would have been if Gigi was there too, but Bella FaceTimed with her just before the show started, and she told Bella that she was rooting for her and that she can't wait to watch the show with her when she gets back home."

It comes after Abel - who split with Bella last year before moving on with 25-year-old Selena, who has since rekindled her romance with ex Justin Bieber - was believed to have gotten back in touch with Bella earlier this month, but the pair are not thought to be dating.

A source said previously: "Bella and Abel have been in contact since Abel and Selena split, but they are not back together. Abel reached out to Bella asking to hang out and catch up, and she decided to see him and see where things go. She knows that if they don't date again, they can at least be good friends."
