Bill Murray is a "failure" as a human being.

The 'Rock the Kasbah' actor claims he went into the film industry to make up for his own personal weaknesses and defects.

He shared: "I know what a failure I am in so many ways as a human, I don't pretend to be some saviour of the world, but the ideas that I might communicate [through film] might say something."

In fact, the 65-year-old star admits he feels he's a "much better person" when he's on a film set as he can be "really committed" to himself.

He added: "I'm a much better person when I'm working on a film because I'm really committed to myself, not in a vain, prideful way, but actually being myself because I feel that film is a graphic representation of my state, whatever my state is, what I am as a person."

And Bill also revealed he has no idea what he's doing next after 'Jungle Book' is released as he doesn't make plans.

He told The Independent's Radar magazine: "I have no plan, this 'Jungle Book' is coming out. But I do realise that I have a lot of work to do on myself, and my own family. I have sort of cleared the decks for that. I don't make plans really."
