The 'My Heart Will Go On' singer was left devastated when Rene Angelil - the father of her sons Rene-Charles, 16, and six-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy - died of cancer in January 2016 aged 73, but she and her family are coming to terms with his passing and she is comforted by the fact her spouse is "always" with her in spirit.

Speaking on the Grammy Awards red carpet, she told interviewer Nancy O'Dell: "We're doing really well, thank you for asking. There's days where I feel it's been three years and then there's days it feels like it's it's not happening.

"He's always with me and I know that he's very proud."

And the 48-year-old singer has been throwing herself back into work and is looking forward to getting out on the road around the world later this year.

She said: "I can't stop. I'm still doing shows in Vegas, I'm going back on tour, I did a tour last year in Europe. So, this year, this summer actually I'm going back to 26 cities actually to do some shows in Berlin."

Celine was at the Grammys to present the Song of the Year prize to Adele of 'Hello' and during her time on stage she reminisced about picking up the same honour in 1999 with her husband by her side.

She said: "Stevie Wonder once said, 'Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories.

"I will never forget sitting with my husband Rene when 'My Heart Will Go On' won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year 18 years ago.

"So tonight, let's us see, which of these memorable songs wins this unforgettable honour."
