Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Channing Tatum was too "intense" for his wife to be around whilst filming Foxcatcher, and so she cut her trip visiting him in Pennsylvania much shorter than planned.

Getting himself so deeply into the wrestling character Mark Schultz, Jenna Dewan-Tatum couldn't be around her husband for as long as she had hoped.

She admitted: "I was pregnant, so I came already hormonal.

"It was so interesting because he was so in character, channelling this sort of intense dark character that I was like - and it was winter - I'm going to go back to California!"

Channing admitted when it was the end of the day's filming, he'd find it hard to shake off his alter ego.

He explained: "Bennett creates an environment that you can't shake off at the end of the day. And, you know, you try to come home and make her laugh, [but ] I just couldn't do it. I tried."

However he also admitted how his wife's pregnancy had made her more sensitive to the situation than she would have been otherwise.

"And pregnant women - if you don't know - are very emotional as it is."
