The 'If I Could Turn Back Time' hitmaker admits she struggles to deal with her age and hates to see an "old lady" looking back at her in the mirror.

She said: "I just don't know how to accept [getting older]. I don't want to either, but I don't really know how to. I look in the mirror, and I see this old lady looking back at me. I have no idea how she got there. If I put 70 candles on my cake, I would blow my brains out, you know?"

And the 70-year-old singer insists she's not really a "huge fan" of herself.

She added: "I've never really been in love with Cher. She's all right, but it's like, I'm not a huge fan. I'm not a Cher fan."

Cher is set to perform a series of concerts in Las Vegas and across the US whilst her "voice is still really good" and she is still active.

She said: "I didn't want to be finished. I didn't want to be through with singing, and I knew that this would probably be the last time. My voice is still really good.

"I'm still active and running around. I can still fit into my costumes. I thought that this is probably ... it's now or never."

Meanwhile, the 'Believe' hitmaker also addressed the Presidential race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump and openly criticised the Republican candidate, admitting she fears for the younger generations if he was to be elected.

Speaking on The Today Show, she shared: "It's not going to hurt me. I'm 70, it's not going to do anything to me but it's going to do stuff to young people. That scares me and it really bothers me because he just doesn't care."
