Chris Brown's bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, won't serve any more jail time after punching a fan in Washington DC last year, as long as he completes one year of probation.

Brown's security guard, Chris Hollosy, who was convicted of misdemeanour assault after punching a fan in Washington DC last year, was sentenced to 90 days in prison for the incident on Tuesday (16.12.14), but judge Patricia Wynn agreed to suspend his sentence if he completes one year of probation.

He was also ordered to perform 24 hours of community service.

Brown and Hollosy were both arrested after the incident in October 2013 and claimed they were trying to prevent the victim, Parker Adams, from boarding the star's tour bus, but Parker insisted they attacked him when he tried to take a photograph with Brown.

The 25-year-old singer also pleaded guilty to misdemeanour assault in connection to the attack in September and was sentenced to time served.

In October, he also agreed to pay Parker $100,000 in a civil lawsuit.

The singer was released from jail on June 2 after spending 108 days behind bars for violating his probation after he allegedly made threats about using guns while seeking anger-management treatment in rehab.

He was previously placed on probation for five years and sentenced to six months community service for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
