The 35-year-old singer has teamed up with Spike TV for the trivia series, which will feature celebrity musical guests performing songs with the main aim of the game to get two teams to battle it out in guessing song titles from just listening to the vocals, guitar or bass part of a track.

The 'Beautiful' hitmaker is thrilled to announce her forthcoming venture, which mixes her passion for music and television.

Taking to her Twitter account, she wrote: "Excited to announce my new music game show 'Tracks' is coming to @spike later this year! (sic)"

Explaining the format of 'Tracks', she said: "Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track - with a twist - since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song. I'm excited to have 'Tracks' debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate."

Aguilera is ideal to head up 'Tracks' with her notable pop career and her experience of being a coach on 'The Voice'.

'Tracks' will debut as a half-hour special later this year on the Viacom-owned cable network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
