Cindy Crawford says that it isn't in her "DNA" to be a party girl.

The star shot to fame back in the 1980s as one of the world's first supermodels, and admits there were a lot of events where drugs were made readily available.

However Cindy always avoided that side of the fashion industry and thinks that her upbringing played a huge role in her being able to resist the temptations.

Speaking in a new interview with The Evening Standard newspaper, she explained: "I guess for me, it wasn't that hard. It's just not who I am. I was raised in a small town in Illinois and I think those Midwestern qualities served me well. It just wasn't in my DNA to be a party girl, thank God!"

Her daughter Kaia is just at the beginning of her career in the modelling world at 13-years-old, and the catwalk Queen insists she isn't worried about her getting involved in the negative side of things.

"When people ask me about my daughter, I feel like I could guide her in the right direction because I was able to navigate it. You can, it is do-able."
