Clint Eastwood's estranged wife, Dina, doesn't blame him for their divorce and says it was largely down to the people around him that they split.
Dina Eastwood filed for divorce from the 83-year-old Oscar winning actor and director after 17 years of marriage in October, but claims it was the people around him who caused their separation rather than Clint himself.
When asked by talk show host Bethenny Frankel if it is the hardest thing she has ever gone through, she replied: "It's so cliche to say that, but yes, absolutely.
"He's lovely, he hasn't done much. It's other people around him have done things that have blown me away and again my future ex-husband has done nothing [wrong]. He's probably the sweetest guy I've ever met. He is the sweetest, he is a loving, kind, low-key person so my intuition was still great on marrying a good person."
Clint and the 48-year-old former TV news anchor have daughter Morgan together, and while the divorce has been hard for the teenager, Clint has been very supportive, and even took her and half-sister, Francesca Ruth Fisher-Eastwood, to the Coachella music festival this year.
Dina added: "My baby is loving life right now, she's great because she says I am a lot more fun and relaxed and she goes and sees her dad in Los Angeles or at home.
"He took her to Coachella. I mean he is 83 years old and he's rolling with our 20 and 16 year-old at Coachella. Go Clint. He does fun stuff like that with them so they are getting a fun version of dad and a more chill version of mom and life is good for the kids. They are pretty happy."
Dina and Clint's divorce is yet to be finalised, and in legal papers she has asked for full custody of Morgan.
