Cory Monteith would want his friends to be happy.
The 'Glee' actor died due to a drug overdose in July, and his co-star Darren Criss revealed the cast are trying "start to smile again".
Speaking in the October issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, he said: "As I said on [chat show] 'Conan', we're picking up the pieces.
"Cory loved life and wanted his friends to be happy, so it's only right that we try and start to smile again.
"That's something that he would have wanted. I am just so happy that he got to touch as many lives as he did while we were all lucky enough to have him."
Darren - who plays openly gay character Blaine Anderson - dismissed the idea he has to assert his heterosexuality in real life to make up for his on-screen role.
He explained: "No. I know who I am. I feel bad for guys who have to flex their muscles.
"But hey, if that's the way to make yourself feel comfortable as a man - as long as it isn't antagonising anybody - go for it.
"I'm okay with your getting a Miata to feel like a dude; just don't be a d**k about it."
