The trio are among the latest stars who have been announced as presenters at the upcoming Academy Awards on February 28.

They will be joined by Patricia Arquette, Abraham Attah, Emily Blunt, Louis C.K., Common, Russell Crowe, Chris Evans, Jennifer Garner, Louis Gossett Jr., Rachel McAdams, Dev Patel, Eddie Redmayne, Sarah Silverman, and Sofia Vergara.

Producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement: "Through their work, these artists have shown us the unique, transformative power of cinema. We are delighted they will be joining us on the Oscars stage this year."

Last month, host Chris Rock joked that the Oscars will end with "a lot of drunk, disappointed people".

The 50-year-old comic is returning to host the prestigious ceremony next month and, in his first promotional trailer for next month's ceremony, he quipped the evening will be similar to New Year's Eve.

He said: "Much like New Year's Eve, it will be a night that ends with a lot of drunk, disappointed people swearing they'll do better next year."

Since Chris first hosted the Oscars in 2005, a range of stars have taken the helm at the ceremony, including last year's presenter Neil Patrick Harris, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres - who anchored in both 2007 and 2014 - Hugh Jackman, Billy Crystal, Seth MacFarlane and Jon Stewart.

Both 2010 and 2011 saw two stars taking on anchoring duties, with Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin the first pair and James Franco and Anne Hathaway succeeding them the following year.
