The 'EastEnders' actor - who is famous for playing hard men and using Cockney rhyming slang - has confessed he's worried that here aren't many true east Londoners left.

He said: "It is a dying breed, my old man's generation.

"But the world changes. I don't know what we're going to do with a lack of Cockneys."

However, the 38-year-old star from Canning Town has a come up with a not so cunning plan.

Speaking on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man', he said he will put his potential Cockney progenies "in a cup and freeze it".

And while he's desperate to keep his father's working class traditions alive, Danny's confessed he thinks of himself as middle class now because he uses scented toilet roll.

He explained: "I have earned a few quid, my kid is at private school and my missus has bought toilet roll that smells of cinnamon.

"So I am walking around with my a**e smelling of cinnamon. That's middle class isn't it?"

Meanwhile, the 'Football Factory' actor has also launched a campaign to become the first working class James Bond.

He told Absolute Radio: "I've put feelers out and it might be laughable for some people but ... Bond!

"I want to have a bang on the Bond, mate. I'd love to do the Bond. Bring something different to the Bond, you know what I mean?

"Bit of charisma. A working class Bond."
