The 'EastEnders' star, who is known for playing lovable pub landlord Mick Carter in the BBC One soap, is remaining tight-lipped on details surrounding his big day but is desperate to secure the band's guitarist Sergio Pizzorno to perform at the reception.

Asked about his wedding song, Danny, 38, said: "I can't tell you, the old woman would go mad! It's a f***ing good tune. I'm hoping to get Serge from Kasabian to sing it."

The soap star is yet to secure a time and place for his nuptials but he's keen to find somewhere that has "castle stairs" for his longterm partner Joanne Mas to walk down.

He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "As long as I get her the dress she wants I don't think she would mind what I wear. As long as she looks beautiful and she gets to walk down some old skool castle stairs, I don't think she would take a bit of notice what I was wearing. I could have a pair of f***ing beige cords on and she wouldn't notice."

Meanwhile, Danny is hoping to marry Joanne, with whom he has three children, in September but, although they've been together 25 years, he's already riddled with nerves.

He said recently: "We are starting the process of that [wedding planning] actually, we just got Christmas out the way so you know the governor and the missus in doors, she's starting that process off.

"It's happening this year; maybe September, August round that sort of time ... I'm petrified. Just want to sit in the khazi (toilet) on my own - but in a nice way. But no, I'll let the missus deal with that, she's the brains of the outfit."
