David Beckham has joined Instagram.

The retired soccer star made his first post on the photo sharing site earlier today (02.05.15) and thanked his supporters for their birthday wishes.
He wrote: "Good morning and hello! It's great to finally be on Instagram, been a long time coming but I can't wait to start sharing all my special moments with you.
"Thank you for all your birthday messages so far. Looking forward to a great day with friends and family x (sic)"
And fans will no doubt be hoping that David will be uploading snaps from his 40th birthday party tonight (02.05.15) as the star is hosting a £250,000 luxury celebration at a six-star resort just outside Marrakech, Morocco.
David's wife Victoria is also an avid fan of Instagram, most recently taking to the site to share a photograph of her and David in front of a private plane.
She wrote: "So excited to be celebrating David's birthday x #DB40 x vb (sic)"
The couple's eldest son Brooklyn, 16, also enjoys using the site, regularly sharing selfies with his 1.9 million followers.
Meanwhile, despite only signing up for Instagram today, David has made regular appearances in his wife and son's photos and videos, with one in particular going viral. In the short clip, Brooklyn was celebrating his one million Instagram followers when his father moved into view, bragging he has 52 million Facebook fans.
