The 18-year-old aspiring photographer travelled across the world earlier this year when he left the family home in England to study photography at a college i New York's Greenwich Village.

And after his retired football star dad David took a trip out to the city to catch up with his son, he revealed he has been missing spending time with the star.

David - who also has sons Romeo, 15, and Cruz, 12, as well as daughter Harper, six, with his wife Victoria Beckham - posted a snap on his Instagram story of the pair, and wrote: "I've missed this face."

The pair got together for dinner, and after tucking into "the best pizza" New York has to offer, the 42-year-old sports star shared another sweet photo on the photo sharing app.

Posting a photo of the pair grinning whilst sat in the restaurant, David wrote: "Just relaxing after eating the best pizza in NYC @lucali_bk .. We don't look happy at all lol @brooklynbeckham (sic)"

Fashionista Victoria, 43, missed out on the reunion as she was in Boston at the time, but was quick to send her love to the pair in the comments of the picture.

She wrote: "I miss u!! Wish I was there too!! X kisses!! (sic)"

David's trip to New York comes after he recently admitted he was "concerned" about his son being so far away for his studies.

He said: "When you have children- young children and older children going to university in America - you are of course concerned and worried. What are their lives going to be like? That's my main concern."

And Victoria previously revealed she couldn't stop crying when Brooklyn first moved away from home.

In September, she said: "I'm still crying, Brooklyn's moved to New York, he's 18, and I haven't stopped crying. I miss him so much, so much."
