The former 'EastEnders' star has his hands tied up with his pantomime role in Brindley Theatre's production of 'Aladdin' in Runcorn until later this month, but he's planning to hop on a plane to Spain once it's wrapped up to kick-start his career in business and hospitality out there in the sun.

Asked what his plans are once panto finishes, he said: "I don't know yet. But that's what it's like in this business. You never know what might happen next.

"I've got my fingers in a few pies. I might go and run a hotel in Ibiza or start a business out there."

And his move into business may mean that Dean, 37, will turn his back on acting for good because he's struggling to deal with the highs and lows of the nitty-gritty industry.

He explained: "Acting for a living is so hard. One year you're hot, hot, hot. The next you're not, not, not! I've survived 23 years in this business, but who knows how long it'll go on for?

"I sold a house recently and I have a bit of money in the bank so, fortunately, I don't have to rush into anything."

However, the talented star hasn't ruled out a possibility of reprising his alterego Robbie Jackson in 'EastEnders' in the near future following his brief return last year.

He told Soaplife magazine: "It's obviously up to the writers and producers but I think it's feasible that he could [return]."
