Dennis Quaid and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Kimberley Buffington have put their Pacific Palisades home on the market.

The 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' actor - who reunited with his wife of eight years in late March but was unable to halt their divorce after filing papers to end their marriage in November 2012 - splashed out $3.1 million for the plush property in Los Angeles in February but is selling it again.

According to real estate website RealEstalker.com, the on/off couple have made a few changes to the house over the past few months and are hoping to make a profit of at least $50,000.

The 3,421 square foot open floor plan mansion, which was originally thought to have been purchased as part of a divorce settlement, boasts four-bedrooms, five-bathrooms, panoramic views of the ocean and Los Angeles, a spa and a salt-water pool.

Recent renovations to the property, which is located beside Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Bill Cosby's homes, include darkening the hardwood floors, painting the cabinetry in the kitchen, replacing the wall-to-wall carpeting in the master bedroom with hardwood floors and removing one of the walk-in closets to accommodate a raised sitting area.

The couple sold their $9.5 million home, where they lived with their five-year-old twins Thomas and Zoe, in the same area in late 2011.

Former real estate agent Kimberly originally filed for divorce in March 2012 because she said the marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

She later asked for their divorce to be put on hold in April 2012 to give them time to work on their marriage but then filed for a formal separation in October and they signed their divorce papers six weeks later.

They reportedly reunited in March but there was no way of removing their divorce papers from the courts system so the judgment will become final.

It is not known if the couple plans to remarry.
