The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star is desperate to have a third child with her husband Kanye West but doctors are worried having another kid would "jeopardise Kim's health incredibly".

A source told Us Weekly: "Having a kid would jeopardise Kim's health incredibly. Doctors have told her no."

And the 36-year-old television personality recently revealed she has had surgery on her uterus in the hope of having a third child.

Kim - who has three-year-old daughter North and their 15-month-old son Saint - said: "I have to go in and repair my uterus because I decided I'm going to try to have one more baby. Isn't that exciting?"

However, her family and friends were naturally concerned. Kris Jenner's now ex-boyfriend Corey Gamble added: "I don't want you to, like, do anything risky."

During the group chat, Khloe asked what kind of surgery it would be and Kim added: "I have to have a surgery on my uterus to kind of repair this hole, so they need to like clean that out and then there's scar tissue. It will still be a really high-risk pregnancy, just you'd be able to get pregnant."

And in a solo interview, Kim admitted: "Having more kids is definitely going to be a struggle. I've gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don't feel like it's safe for me to conceive again myself. This surgery is really the one last thing I can try."

Kim has been open about her pregnancy struggles in the past. Following the birth of Saint, she suffered from placenta accreta, where the placenta remains attached to the womb.
