Drew Barrymore has admitted she will be "so happy" when she turns 40 next year because she has "worked so hard" to get to the milestone.

Barrymore star of movies including  'Blended' isn't worried or upset about celebrating the milestone next February.

Drew has daughters Olive, two, and Frankie, six months, with husband Will Kopelman

Saying: "When I turn 40 on February 22, I'm going to heave a huge sigh of relief.

"I'm so happy to be there. I really am. You work so hard to get there, and it's just awesome."

Drew labels David Bowie is her style icon, and loves experimenting with her look and recently dyed her hair from blonde to dark brown but says her children didn't really notice.

She just can't wait for her eldest daughter to get a little older, so she can inherit her favourite designer shoes.

Saying "I can't wait until Olive can fit into my high heels. I have a wonderful shoe collection, but none of them fit since I had the girls."

She added that when Olive seen her dark-brown hair for the first time, she looked at 'Mom' cocked her head to the side, and then just when on as if nothing ever happened.

Drew on her hair colour - Of all the hair colours she ever tried, her favourite was red.

"I'd really love to go back to it. I think redheads are the sexiest creatures because they have an exotic beauty like no one else on the planet." she told People Magazine
