The 'Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle' star had previously expressed a desire to turn his hands to politics but whilst he is "very flattered" by the response, he won't be acting on it any time soon.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, he quipped: "It's been very flattering. There's been this really interesting uptick in public opinion, [people] wanting that to happen. The problem is that [Kevin Hart] will completely sabotage the campaign in 2020, 2024. He'll literally sabotage it from the inside."

Whilst Kevin Hart jokingly added: "100%. I will take you down. I don't want it to happen because it will make you that much better than me, and I just don't want it. I would sabotage it in a heartbeat."

Back in May, Dwayne admitted running for president is a "real possibility" and says he has been considering moving into politics "more and more".

He shared: "I think that it's a real possibility. A year ago, it started coming up more and more. There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think 'Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful ...

"Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. [If I didn't agree with someone] on something, I wouldn't shut them out. I would actually include them. The first thing we'd do is we'd come and sit down and we'd talk about it. We all have issues, and we all gotta work our s**t out. And I feel like one of the qualities of a great leader is not shutting people out. I miss that part. Even if we disagree, we've got to figure it out."
