Emily Ratajkowski has described kissing Ben Affleck in their latest movie as 'surreal'.

Ratajkowski teams up with Affleck for the first time in Gone Girl, and says it was weird locking lips with an actor that she had grown up watching.

Speaking to LA Confidential, the actress said: "The whole experience was a little surreal."

"I have to be honest. Obviously Ben Affleck is one of those - you know his face. I grew up with his face. Not sure if he would love that.

"I went into an audition and there's this really tall handsome guy. And I'm like, 'Oh my god. That's Ben Affleck'."

Ratajkowski is best known for starring in the music video for Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, and Gone Girl marks her second feature film.

Gone Girl is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn and sees David Fincher in the director's chair.

And it has been a hit for the actress as it currently sits at the top of the U.S. box office.

Ratajkowski will be back on the big screen next year, as she has finished work on We Are Your Friends and has been linked to a role in Entourage.

Gone Girl is out now.
