The 'Used to Love You' hitmaker, who announced her separation from the British rocker in August after 13 years of marriage, is also focusing on "spiritual exercising" in order to process her emotions rather than using the gym as an escape.

When asked how she stays in such great shape, she said: "I haven't really been working on my physical appearance. I've been working on my spiritual exercising. And really trying to connect and be grateful, considerate, being present and living in the moment, and so that's where I've put a lot of my exercise right now. So, if that's what you're seeing, that's awesome, because I've been working really hard on that."

The 46-year-old singer admits her new single is about her estranged husband, 50, and finds it comforting to connect with her fans through her music.

She told E! News: "It's like I'm giving you something, and then you're giving me something.

"It's funny when people try to go so deeper into a song that's already so spilling my guts, it's like what else can I say?... I only wrote that song a few weeks ago."
