The 73-year-old actor has been busy promoting 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' - in which he reprises his role as Han Solo - and while he is looking forward to seeing what fans think of the highly-anticipated movie, he is also in need of a good rest.

He said: "[I'm] really excited to get this movie out there to the audience and see how they feel about it, and have a nice, long sleep."

The veteran star also joked about how ageing has taken its toll on him.

Asked the difference between the 1977 premiere of the original movie and last night's (14.12.15) premiere of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, he told reporters: "I was much better looking [back then]."

However, Harrison - who was accompanied to the premiere by wife Calista Flockhart - then admitted things were very different as it was much less of a spectacle in the 1970s.

He said: "It wasn't anything like this. We didn't have a premiere. We had a royal command performance in London where we shot the film for charity, but we didn't have a premiere.

"Things have changed."
