Hulk Hogan is "praying" for a big screen reunion with his friend Sylvester Stallone - over 30 years after they starred together in 'Rocky III'.

The wrestling legend has been rumoured to be up for a role in 'The Expendables 4' for several months and he admits he would love the chance to star in the action franchise as a villain opposite Stallone's character Barney Ross.

Hulk catapulted himself to worldwide fame in the 1982 boxing sequel when he played grappler Thunderlips and took on Rocky Balboa in a charity match and he thinks it would be awesome for them to get together again.

The 62-year-old sports icon - who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Stallone in 2005 - told BANG Showbiz: "I haven't heard anything, nothing. It's the calm before the storm. There is total silence. I'm praying for it though, I would love it. I definitely want to be the bad guy. I want to fight Stallone again like I did in 'Rocky III'."

When quizzed if he'd accept a part as a good guy, he added: "Oh yeah, it would be fun standing next to him but it would be a lot more fun standing opposite him, face-to-face."

Now his contract with WWE has been terminated, Hulk is interested in starring in more movies and TV shows because he has always loved acting.

Speaking ahead of his trip to the UK for his 'An Evening With Hulk Hogan' show this month, he said: "I'm very interested in movies, if it's fun and it's the right thing for me. I don't care if it's a big part or a cameo, I could be a supporting actor. You know, I'm not the 40-year-old action hero any more, but if something is good fun and it makes sense I'd love to do more acting."

Hulk comes to Sheffield Arena on November 14 to participate in an open Q&A in the evening and earlier in the day he and fellow wrestling legends Bushwacker Luke, Jimmy Hart, Tugboat and Lanny Poffo will be meeting fans, posing for photos and signing autographs.
