The couple - who have children Lola, 10, and Nakoa-Wolf, eight, together - were widely believed to have tied the knot in November 2007, but it has now emerged they didn't legally wed until last month.

A source said: "Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet had an official wedding a few weeks ago at their house in Topanga, California.

"Apparently they weren't officially married until then! They said they 'made it official.' "

Another insider confirmed to Us Weekly magazine that the 'Justice League' actor and the 49-year-old beauty purchased a marriage license from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office on 2 October, a week before they got hitched.

Guests at the wedding included Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, rock climber Chris Sharma, Lisa's daughter Zoe Kravitz - who she has with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz - and a number of the 38-year-old actor's former co-stars.

The source said: "He stays close with the people he works with on movies and is a really nice guy.

"It was a big party and people came from out of town to attend."

The former 'Game of Thrones' star is said to have worn an unbuttoned white shirt and a lei, with his long hair tied in a bun, while Lisa "looked beautiful" in her own outfit.

Some of the guests performed a traditional Māori haka for the bride.

The couple met through mutual friends in 2005 but Jason previously admitted he had "stalked" Lisa because he'd had a crush on her since seeing her in 'The Cosby Show' when he was younger.

He previously said: "The first time [we met] I was like, 'I want that one. I want her. I'm going to get her.

"I didn't tell her until after we had our two children. But I told her ... 'I kind of stalked you. I was going to find you.' "
