Jessie J felt she had to sell her glass house because of her fame.

The singer was forced to sell her Surrey home after fans flocked outside the location in attempts to get just a glimpse of the star.

She explained: "I bought a house in Surrey. It was all made of glass.

"But after 'The Voice' I had a new, weird level of fame and I had to sell it as I couldn't be famous and live in a glass house."

Jessie went on to explain how she felt sympathy for the new owners, because supporters would still flock to the house not knowing that she no longer resides there.

Speaking on Alan Carr: Chatty Man she continues: "Six months after I sold, these kids were outside singing 'Domino'.

"I felt so sorry for the people who bought it."

With such a huge fan base in the UK, Jessie now has plans to move to Los Angeles as she feels her talents are more "appreciated" in the States.

"In America they see me as a singer whereas here I feel that people don't appreciate my voice. I've dedicated my life to singing and I want it to be taken seriously.

"Here it seems that all people want to know is what I've had for breakfast and who I'm sleeping with."
