The Little Mix star - who has split from fiancé Jake Roche - offered her advice to other women going through a heartbreak and admits having a good set of friends makes a break up easier to cope with.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Capital Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola, she said: "You have to go through the stages of just crying it out. Be around your friends and having that support and then you get yourself out and you mingle."

Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that the 25-year-old singer's relationship with the Rixton star is over for good.

A source said: "Their relationship became strained and they grew apart. They started rowing and it became too much."

Whilst another added: "It's over as far as Jesy's concerned and there's no going back. The wedding is off and her engagement ring won't be going back on. Jesy's so busy with her career and she's throwing herself into work."

The pair's families are said to be "terribly upset" by the split.

An insider shared: "Both Jake and Jesy's families have been left reeling from the split and everyone is terribly upset by it. At the end of the day, they just want them both to be happy and if that mean's they're apart then so be it ...

"They're both young and they could work it out in the future. They had a great time together and have a lot of happy memories. You can never say never."

Jesy previously opened up about the couple's relationship, insisting they were "very much in love".

She explained: "We're in no rush [to get married] We want to travel the world together. There's so much we want to do together, and at the moment, we're focused on our own careers that there just isn't time. We're literally in no rush. I think when we know, we'll know, and we'll do it, and [it will] probably be really intimate, hardly any people there. We're very much in love, and we'll do it when we feel the time is right."
