The 'Modern Family' beauty and the 'Magic Mike XXL' star are set to tie the knot in November, and Joe has been given the task of deciding the soundtrack to their first dance as a married couple.
Martha Stewart Weddings editor-in-chief Elizabeth Graves, who interviewed the star about her upcoming wedding, said: "He is charged with picking up the music.
"First dance is all about him. If it was up to her, she definitely would be dancing to Pitbull."
And the wedding definitely won't be a small affair, with Sofia joking that her 'Hot Pursuit' co-star Reese Witherspoon withdrew her offer of help when she realised the size of the wedding party.
Elizabeth added: "She's going to have a lot of people coming in from South America and from Europe.
"During our interview, Sofia joked that Reese Witherspoon had initially offered to help and then realised how many people were actually coming and balked at the idea of helping. She chickened out a little."
And in terms of the outfit for her special day, Sofia is also likely to go for a "curve-hugging" dress teamed with a bold red lipstick.
Elizabeth added to 'Entertainment Tonight': "I think we can expect it to really be a curve-hugging dress, because she knows what looks good on her, and that definitely looks good on her.
"She definitely loves the look of a red lip, which is modern and exciting to her."
