The 'Lip Sync Battle' star is expecting her second child, a son, with the 39-year-old musician - with whom she already has two-year-old daughter Luna - and John has been brushing up his culinary skills in order to make his spouse delicious meals so she can "sit down more".

He said: "I've always loved to cook, but I do it more now because she needs to sit down more."

To which Chrissy clarified: "Lay down."

The pair have found that the 'All of Me' hitmaker's decision to take over in the kitchen has turned into a "bonding" exercise for them, as because John isn't a professional, he often gets given tips by his 32-year-old wife.

John said: "It's fun. It's a bonding thing."

However, Chrissy's pregnancy hasn't kept her from cooking at all, as she revealed she recently finished the recipes for her second cookbook, and admitted one dish ended up haunting her dreams.

Speaking to People magazine, she said: "I just kept going to bed and dreaming that it wasn't tasting right. It was this awesome vegetarian thing, and I was just like, 'oh my gosh it needs chorizo.' So yesterday before it went off, I added chorizo to it."

Meanwhile, cooking will be the least of the couple's worries once they welcome their new arrival into the world, as John recently admitted he doesn't think Luna is prepared to be a big sister.

He said: "Luna's gonna be an issue. I think she'll probably have some growing pains because she's currently running the house right now. She's used to being the centre of everything right now so we'll see how she adjusts to sharing the spotlight."

The 'Good Night' singer and his spouse have been reading tips on how to make sure Luna doesn't feel jealous of her younger brother, including buying a gift from the baby to "give" to his older sister.

John added: "I've [also] heard that I should bring Luna to him so it doesn't feel like we're all just sitting there with this new guy, like, 'Who this?'"
