The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star auctioned off two artworks by Jean-Michel Basquiat at Christie's auction on Wednesday (29.06.16), earning a whopping $4.75 million for one and an even better $6.84 million for the other.

A number of other pieces by Basquiat, which belong to Johnny, are also up for auction on Thursday (30.06.16) in London and are being sold as part of Christie's 250th anniversary sale.

Meanwhile, the 53-year-old actor - who is currently in the midst of a messy divorce from 'Magic Mike XXL' star Amber Heard - is reportedly keen to jet off to his private island in the Bahamas as much as possible to escape the drama of Los Angeles.

A source said: "He has no plans to return to Los Angeles. He misses nothing about LA but his kids, and they are visiting him in the Bahamas.

"Having his kids around is always great for him. He has really missed his kids. His friends have been flying back and forth for visits. He likes being surrounded by people and everyone is trying to cheer him up."

And it was previously claimed by Amber's legal team that the 30-year-old actress - who alleges Johnny has abused her physically and verbally during their marriage - didn't tell police about the alleged abuse because she wanted to "protect her privacy and Johnny's career".

They said in a statement: "As the result of Amber's decision to decline giving an initial statement to the LAPD, her silence has been used against her by Johnny's team. Amber did not provide a statement to the LAPD in an attempt to protect her privacy and Johnny's career.

"Johnny's team has forced Amber to give a statement to the LAPD to set the record straight as to the true facts, as she cannot continue to leave herself open to the vicious false and malicious allegations that have infected the media. Amber has suffered through years of physical and psychological abuse at the hands of Johnny."

Johnny has denied all the allegations made against him.
