The 54-year-old star is being tipped for the Best Actress prizes at both tomorrow's (08.02.15) BAFTAs and the Oscars later this month but she's confessed that while she "minds" that she hasn't won an Academy Award in the past despite being nominated four times, she'd be almost as happy if she were to be named Best Dressed on the night.

She said: "You know, it's almost as much of an honour. It's fun to play dress-up for the night."

The 'Magnolia' actress is nominated for her role in 2014 film 'Still Alice', in which she portrays a woman suffering with Alzheimer's disease.

However, Julianne has confessed she'd never met anyone with the devastating condition until she began researching the part.

Asked if she fears contracting the disease, she told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone has that fear. I'm very lucky that I don't know anybody who has had Alzheimer's disease and I wanted to do as much research as possible to make my performance as realistic as I could."

Meanwhile, the flame-haired beauty has opened up about her friendship with British actor Eddie Redmayne - whom she fought for to get him his first major film role in 'Savage Grace'.

Speaking about whether he really lacks confidence, as he'd have fans believe, she said: "Oh, I don't know about that. He's confident and he believes completely in himself. Behind the scenes, he goes for it."
