Justin Bieber arriving for Comedy Central Roast

The 'Drop It Like Its Hot' rapper took part in the singer's Comedy Central Roast over the weekend - where he and a group of other stars got to make jokes about the singer for a TV special - and he had no issue joining in even though he is friends with the 'Baby' hitmaker.

Asked whether it would be hard to make jokes about a friend on the red carpet before the special was filmed at a Los Angeles studio, Snoop told Bang Showbiz: "He's my homeboy, that's what we do in the hood! It's a fun thing to be able to joke at each other, that's what keeps our skills on top."

Snoop was joined by other stars including Ludacris, ex-basketball player Shaquille O'Neal and comedians Chris D'Elia and Hannibal Buress on stage to take aim at Justin during the comedy roast.

Another of the roasters, Pete Davidson, explained why he thought Justin made such a good target for being ridiculed.

He said: "I just think he's perfect for it because he's a misunderstood person and you'll get to see a cool side of him. But we all know he's only doing this so people will like him. We're not stupid. I know he's still an a**hole and he's not changing at all, it's just he obviously has a smart team around him. But it's a cool thing that this is happening."

Despite his comments, Pete asserted that what he had to say about Justin was "probably not as bad as what everybody else is going to say about him"

Justin's Comedy Central Roast will air on Comedy Central in the US on March 30, coming to Comedy Central UK shortly after.
