The 'What Do You Mean' hitmaker has reportedly been penning new music whilst he's been travelling across the world on his 'Purpose' tour.

A source said: "He has been writing songs throughout the tour and had plenty of songs that never even made the Purpose album, but he isn't going to release any of that or have another album come out for some time.

"He still has plenty of time on his world tour and then he just wants to chill. We probably will not get a new Justin album for at least two years!"

However, fans of the 22-year-old singer need not worry about not hearing any new music from Justin for the next 24 months as it is likely he will be featuring on songs by other artists.

An insider added to HollywoodLife.com: "He will for sure lend his voice to others songs but nothing original from him album wise for a long time. He is really excited for the tour to be done next year and very excited to just live life."

Meanwhile, Justin previously revealed he is keen to collaborate with Rihanna.

Talking about meeting the 'This Is What You Came For' hitmaker at the festival, he said: "We talked a little bit, I told her how much I liked her new song 'Needed Me'. We haven't done a song together, [we should] for sure.

"I did something with Diplo recently but I'm not sure what's going to come out of it. But Riff Raff is on it and Young Thug's on it. I'm not sure what they're doing with the song though, it's called 'Bankroll.'"
