Kate Moss has forked out a staggering £100,000 on a neon sign of her own name because it makes her feel "like a rock star" when she looks at it.

Moss - who is worth an estimated £50 million - has forked out the huge sum to commission artist Chris Bracey to create the impressive piece of hot pink neon tube lighting.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the model's artwork "makes her feel like a rock star, which she totally loves".

Chris has created several other impressive neon pieces including a huge 3D Union Jack for the recent Rimmel advert, which was fronted by Kate.

The former graphic designer has also provided signs for other big stars including Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton and Jude Law.

Chris previously insisted he much prefers neon to LED because it is "sexy" and has more life to it.

Speaking in 2012, he said: "There's something sexy about it - it's no coincidence that the sex clubs all wanted neon signs.

"I think neon takes you somewhere while LED is a bit spiritless.

"There's something about bending the glass that requires real will power and then you bombard it and it's all down to the gods really, whether or not it's going to be a success."
