The 'Dark Horse' hitmaker is reportedly worrying her family and close pals with her "bad choice in men".
A source said: "Katy's Achilles' heel is her bad choices with men. Her friends and family are desperate for her to date someone who treats her with respect."
The 31-year-old singer was recently blasted by her former spouse Russell Brand, who dubbed her a "vapid, vacuous and plastic" celebrity, and she is said to be "furious" with him.
The insider added to Closer magazine: "Russell was her biggest mistake and she's furious - she thinks he's a hypocrite. She thinks he insulted her lifestyle to make the film more interesting."
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old comedian - who was married to Katy from 2010 to 2012 - made the shocking comments in a new documentary 'Brand: The Second Coming', which was filmed during their marriage.
He said: "The stuff in Africa hit me really hard. I'm associated with the very thing I detest: vapid, vacuous, plastic, constructed, mindless celebrity. That's the very sea we're swimming in 'Oh, who's he? He's married to Katy Perry.'
"It's definitely good I'm with someone I love. But it's not a resolution to anything spiritual ... This is my suspicion, that at some point, to be happy, I'm going to have to walk away."
