The 'Chained to the Rhythm' hitmaker split from the 'Lord of the Rings' star earlier this year, but they were recently spotted holding hands at an Ed Sheeran concert, sparking speculation they have rekindled their romance.

And while Katy's pals are keen to see her happy, they are said to be concerned he isn't the right man for her.

A source said: "They don't think he will make her happy.

"Katy is the first to admit she has issues when it comes to dating and her own self-worth.

"Those close to her feel getting back with Orlando would be disastrous."

The 32-year-old pop star "never lost touch" with Orlando after they broke up, and though she's delighted they have grown close again, she is also worried nothing has changed with the 40-year-old actor - who has a six-year-old son, Flynn, from his marriage to Miranda Kerr - and he still doesn't want to settle down.

The insider said: "Katy never lost touch with Orlando and always hoped they'd get back together.

"But the problem is, deep down, she knows nothing has changed with him and she's just going back to the same guy who is still not ready to settle down. He enjoys his bachelor status too much."

But despite her own concerns, the 'Swish Swish' star is dismissing her friends' fears.

The insider told Grazia magazine: "Katy feels very loyal to Orlando but she doesn't always act in her own best interests."

After the pair split in February after almost a year of dating, they released a joint statement "before rumours get out of hand" in which they confirmed they were "taking respectful, loving space" from one another.
