The 48-year-old singer announced the new tour on Monday (11.01.16) and said the show is nothing like anything he's done before.

He said: "It's the greatest show ending on earth that I've ever heard. That might be my next move.

"I'm always trying to work more on how to connect and how to do things more intimately in that large setting."

Keith added he is hoping to combine some of his old favourite tracks with his new material - with hopefully a mind-blowing result.

He added to The Tennessean newspaper: "I want to bring in some other elements to the show musically that are different than what we've done before, [think about] how to incorporate some of the old material in a new way, potentially reaching into some album tracks from way back."

The 'RipCORD World Tour 2016' starts on June 2 in Kansas City and finishes on November 19 in Brooklyn, New York.

He will be supported on the road by country singer Brett Eldredge and relative newcomer Maren Morris.

The tour announcement comes after Keith suffered a huge blow in his personal life following the death of his beloved father Robert in December 2015.

In a statement at the time, Keith said : "I've been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support that Nicole [Keith's wife, Nicole Kidman] and I, and our family, have received since my dad's passing on Saturday night. His long battle with cancer is now over and he is finally at peace."
