Kerry Katona has revealed that she guests for money as a wedding present.

Katona tied the knot earlier this month as she wed George Kay: the third marriage for the singer.

However, the singer has been facing financial trouble of late, and she was happy to accept money as wedding gifts.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Katona said: "No, I have asked for money. Just a fiver in a card will do. I'm bankrupt and I've got five kids to feed."

Katona went on to reveal that she couldn't have the wedding ring that she wanted because money was tight.

She said: "There was a ring my nan wore which was blue in a white gold band. It was beautiful.

"I was going to buy a similar ring but it was so expensive. It was £300 and I can't afford that."

This is the third marriage for Katona, who was previously married to Bryan McFadden and Mark Croft.

Katona and Kay welcomed their first child together into the world last September, as Katona gave birth to a little girl.

Katona has four other children from her previous marriages to MacFadden and Croft.
