Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton have become friends again after they met up at designer Riccardo Tisci's 40th birthday party in Ibiza

The reality stars have a long history together, with Kim initially working as a personal assistant to hotel chain heiress Paris before finding her own fame with her 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' show, and although they have previously fallen out, they enjoyed each other's company when they met up in Ibiza on Friday (01.08.14).

Alongside a picture of them laughing together, which she posted on Instagram, Kim wrote: "Reminiscing about the 1st time we went to Ibiza in 2006! @parishilton it was so good to see you & catch up!! Loves it lol (sic)"

Paris also posted the same picture, taken at designer Riccardo Tisci's 40th birthday party, and added: "So much fun with @KimKardashian this weekend at @AmnesiaIbiza. The first time we ever came to this magical island was together. Such an amazing trip! Great catching up with you too beautiful! #Regram (sic)"

The girls, who are both 33, grew up together and were good friends until 2008 when Kim's fame started to eclipse Paris' following the release of her sex tape.

Paris went on to insult her former friend by saying her bottom "looks like cottage cheese stuffed in a trash bag," although she subsequently issued an apology.
