The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star has extended her presence on social media by signing up to the platform

yesterday (08.03.16), though she didn't make her account public immediately, but has now taken to her Twitter and Instagram accounts to appeal for fans to follow her.

The 34-year-old beauty swiftly spread the news of her recent enrolment by sharing a screengrab of her first post - which featured her sister Kourtney Kardashian and a caption reading: "My very 1st snap!!! - on her Instagram account.

She posted alongside the image: "I'm on snapchat now! Add me- KimKardashian.(sic)"

She also tweeted: "Snapchat alert! I'm finally on!(sic)"

Kim's decision to sign up for the app, which allows users to send photos, videos and other messages that are deleted after a short space of time, came a few weeks after she teased fans by admitting she was considering joining.

Kim appeared in a Snapchat video posted to DJ Khaled's account, in which she laughed and smiled as he sang her praises.

Khaled said: "Ayo Kim, they don't want you to wear the Saint Laurent fur. They don't want you to break the app store.

"They don't want you to be the biggest boss in the game. So, what we gonna do is we gonna win more."

The brunette beauty - who has children North, two, and Saint, three months, with husband Kanye West - then shared an image from the video on her social media accounts and wrote: "Should I? #SNAPCHAT.(sic)"

And her fans were clearly excited by the idea, as her Instagram posting - which had 'Kim Snapchat soon come' written on the still - has already attracted over 700,000 likes.

Kim's half-sister, 18-year-old Kylie Jenner, is currently the most viewed person on Snapchat and often makes multiple posts a day.
