Kris Jenner doesn't want a co-host for her new talk show, 'Kris'.

The reality TV star, 57, has allegedly been arguing with her producers about the direction of the FOX series, which will begin a six-week trial run next Monday (15.07.13).

A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "Kris didn't feel it was necessary, but co-executive producer, Robert Lifton, said it was essential."

The insider revealed that producers want to make sure the show is a huge hit with viewers before investing millions in it, because they are currently struggling to secure celebrity guests and co-hosts.

The source said: "There have been big problems in booking celebrity guests, and the celebrity co-hosts are primarily being drawn from talent at Telepictures, which is producing the show. 'Extra' hosts Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos are scheduled to join Kris during the first few weeks. Telepictures also produces 'Extra'.

"Kris is used to calling the shots with the Kardashian reality shows at E! but she isn't used to taking orders from anyone."

It was previously revealed that Betty White would be one of Kris' first guests.

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star hit it off with the 'Golden Girls' actress at the Daytime Emmy Awards last month and Kris asked her to be on her chat show, which will be filmed in Los Angeles.

A source, who spotted the duo chatting, recently said: "Kris and Betty were both presenting at the Emmys and hit it off backstage. They were complimenting each other on their outfits. They couldn't stop talking about how good the other looked and they got along great, like old friends! Kris asked Betty to be one of her first guests on her new talk show and she happily accepted."
