The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who blasted ABC News last Friday (24.04.15) for suggesting she had declined to comment on her ex-husband's decision to transition from male to female, claims producers only contacted her office "for fact checking," but she felt she couldn't "respond" because she hadn't seen the show.

A statement issued on her behalf to PEOPLE.com, reads: "Kris does not have official representation but a message was left at her office and she was asked for fact checking. Kris said she was unable to respond because she had not seen the special. She did not say, 'No comment.' "

But ABC News insists they reached out to Kris "more than once."

In a new statement, the network said: "ABC News sent an email to her publicity team more than once. They called and said no comment."

The 59-year-old star, who has daughters Kendall Jenner, 19, and Kylie Jenner, 17, with the 65-year-old Olympian, was outraged when Diane claimed she had replied, "no comment," when asked about Bruce's decision after reading out supportive statements from his other ex-wives, Linda Thompson and Chrystie Crownover.

But she quickly voiced her support on Twitter, writing: "Not only was I able to call him my husband for 25 years and father of my children, I am now able to call him my hero."
