The pop superstar - who portrays 100-year-old blood-sucking monster The Countess in 'American Horror Story' - has admitted emotionally she feels far older than her 29 years.

Speaking to News.com.au, she said with a beaming smile: "I have been in the business since I was 15, and although I have been famous for only seven years and lived 29, I feel like I have lived 100 years. And I feel f***ing old."

The blonde singer - who was raised a Catholic - went on to say she didn't "fit in" with her fellow students at school when she was younger, not because of her parents' behaviour, but because of her "lonely" mindset.

She explained: "I did feel very isolated as a young person, and not because I was alone or abandoned by my family, it's just a chemical thing. Some kids are born like that. We don't know why we feel lonely, but we do. It's like depression but it's not because someone neglected me. I grew up in a very disciplined household. I played piano when I was four. I sat at it and I started to play it. Did my parents then say to me that we are giving you lessons? Yes. And then when I tried to stop playing they said, 'You can sit there for an hour and practise, or you can sit there for two and not practise.' "

Gaga - who revealed last year she was raped when she was 19 years old - added: "But was I abused when I was older? Yes, but not by my family."
