LeAnn Rimes has come off her birth control after being told her fertility levels were lower than normal.

The 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' hitmaker, 31, is keen to start a family with her husband Eddie Cibrian as soon as possible after she was told by a specialist that her fertility levels are lower than normal.

LeAnn Rimes has stopped using birth control

Speaking to Eddie on their VH1 reality TV show 'LeAnn & Eddie' last night (21.08.14), she said: "She [the specialist] told me that my levels are on the lower side of normal and that we should not be waiting very much longer. Does that freak you out?"

Eddie - who already has sons Mason, 10, and Jake, six with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville - appeared to question whether they were ready to have a child just yet.

LeAnn hit back: "I know we were not planning on having a child right now, but I also do not want to miss what possibly could be my only opportunity to have a child naturally."

The blonde beauty decided to consult a doctor about her fertility levels after her mother Belinda revealed it took 12 years for her to fall pregnant with LeAnn.

LeAnn said: "I knew my mom had difficulty having me, but I never really knew how difficult it was. Eddie and I have talked about waiting a little bit longer before we try to have kids. It had never popped into my head that maybe I will have the same trouble she did."

'I had a lot of issues and the doctors told me I would never have a child,' her mother confided.

'You were a miracle, they don't know how I got pregnant,'
