The 'Ghostbusters' actress attended the 2016 Emmy Awards, which were held at the Microsoft Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night (18.09.16), and bumped into the heartthrob singer/songwriter.

John, 38, told Leslie, 49, he was going to pen a track about the comedienne but she had other ideas.

Posting a selfie on Twitter of the pair she told her followers: "He said he had s gonna write a song about me. I think he should have sex with me instead am I wrong? (sic)"

The musician has dated a string of celebrities including Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.

Leslie was clearly in a jovial mood, as earlier that evening she laughed off her nude photo leak.

The 'Saturday Night Live' star, who was harassed with racist messages on social media and had her website hacked in August - with personal details from her passport, driver's license and nude photographs plastered online, made a joke of the ordeal whilst giving a speech.

Shortly after the wild celebrations following Leslie's fellow SNL cast member and 'Ghostbuster' co-star Kate McKinnon won her Emmy, Leslie joined the Emmy's accountants on stage as they explained the work that goes into keeping the Emmys results confidential and untampered-with.

She told them: "Y'all protecting something nobody is trying to steal. Don't nobody want to know about boring Emmy secrets. But since you good at keeping things safe, I got a job for you - my Twitter account. Put that in the vault, please."

She continued: "Y'all using your skills to protect best voice over on a French sitcom. Meanwhile I'm butt naked on CNN. I just wanted to feel beautiful y'all. Can a sister feel beautiful?"

Leslie's account hack prompted the US Department of Homeland Security to investigate and at the time, democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton reached out to her on Twitter.

And after she made the incident the punchline of her joke at the awards bash, which is in its 68th year, she received more support from viewers on Twitter.

One Twitter user posted: "Even though Leslie is joking about this, I hope those laughing and watching see her harassment was a very serious matter."
