The One Direction singer made the generous donation at the Believe In Magic Cinderella Ball in London on Monday (10.08.15) when he bid on a prize which included a Mulberry handbag and getting his face painted like a tiger.

Liam, 21, proudly showed off his facial art at the event which was held to raise money for the foundation which works with seriously and terminally ill children in the UK.

Liam's bandmate Louis Tomlinson, 23, hosted the ball at the Natural History Museum in London with his mother Johannah Deakin.

Louis, who is set to welcome a baby with stylist Briana Jungwirth after a brief relationship earlier this year, also made a generous donation to the cause.

According to reports, he donated a whopping £2 million of his own money.

Louis posted on Twitter: "Wow,what an incredible night! I hope Meg , Jean and my beautiful Mum feel very proud for creating such a fantastic night for everyone !!! (sic)"

Meg and Jean are Believe in Magic's founders Meg Bhari and her mother Jean.

Louis added: "Thank you so much for everyone who helped and attended tonight!!"

The event was also attended by 'X Factor' winner Ben Haenow, TV presenter Arlene Phillips, magician Dynamo and former 'X Factor' contestants Stevi Richie and Chloe-Jasmine Whichello.
