The 40-year-old actress has been in a relationship with her sports agent fiancé Dave Gardner since 2014, and has admitted that whilst she thinks luck has been on her side when it comes to finding a romantic partner, she still believes falling in love is an "adventure".

Liv - who has son Sailor, two, and daughter Lula, 17 months, with her partner, as well as 12-year-old son Milo with her former husband Royston Langdon - said: "I've always been quite lucky in love. But you don't just meet someone and fall in love and live happily ever after. That doesn't exist. You meet someone and you fall in love, and then you begin an adventure."

The 'Lord of the Rings' star lives with her beau and their brood - which also includes Dave's 10-year old son Grey from a previous marriage - in London's Primrose Hill, and Liv couldn't be happier with their family dynamic.

She added to Porter magazine: "I'm so in love and happy right now. It's a cute little village and totally discreet."

The 'Super' actress and her fiancé have been engaged since 2015, but she insists she isn't interested in rushing into a wedding, as she is just "enjoying this stage" of their relationship.

She said previously: "It's so sweet to enjoy this stage of being together. I am not a woman who is obsessed with having a wedding - and because we aren't married yet, he has to keep asking me. I just say, 'Maybe.'"

And Liv previously credited having children with Dave as being a major turning point in their romance.

She said: "We both wanted to have a family and children and a partnership and love.

"Our jobs are high stress and high energy and constantly moving, so it's really just the family part we're on the same page about, which is amazing because I know that's often quite tricky for couples."
