The 'Suicide Squad' star would never try an app like Tinder out herself as she is "still freaked out" by technology but admits she can't stop swiping through her friends' profiles.

Asked if she'd ever try online dating, she told Elle magazine: "I don't think I'd ever be comfortable with that because technology still freaks me out a bit.

"I don't even know how to Direct Message someone on Instagram. I still write letters. I send thank you notes, not emails, even if I'm staying at a friend's house or something. I'm very old school. But Tinder fascinates me. Raya fascinates me. I make my friends pull up their profiles and I'm like, 'Show me everything.'"

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old actress previously revealed her boyfriend Tom Ackerley managed to change her opinion on relationships.

She said: "[Before we met] I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me.

"We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, 'Oh, he would never love me back. Don't make it weird, Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him.' And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we're together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'"

And Margot is happy to be "vulnerable" in front of her boyfriend because she believes it makes for a successful relationship.

She shared: "Over the years, you experience enough situations and your share of heartbreak that you tend to build up defensive walls.

"That happens to most people. The trick is to be able to learn from your previous relationships and become stronger, so that you can allow yourself to be more open and vulnerable again."
